Our two first recordings & their digital brethren
Here´s a little update on the digital editions of the vinyl single “Death, a skeleton & the holy ingredient” and our debut album “Yr Royal Jetlag Gospel”.
Why the friggin wait?!? Firstly, we´re very sorry that we haven´t managed to get them out yet! Secondly, it´s the artworks´s fault. Let us explain…the two recordings were released in 2001 and 2003, preceding iTunes and certainly any streaming outlets. To release a recording for digital distribution nowadays, you need a digital version of the artwork that´s way bigger than what we´re sitting on from the early naughties. We´ve searched our file cabinet and others digital drawers, but large enough files are nowhere to be found.
What we´re currently trying to do is to photograph, or if that fails, scan the original paintings of the artworks. The good news is that we´ve recently talked with a professional photographer, he´s taken a photo of “Yr Royal Jetlag Gospel”, and it seems that he´s captured a good snap of the painting. If this photo is suitable for digital distribution, “Death, a skeleton & the holy ingredient” is next up.
So, our debut album, fingers crossed, should be available in digital formats and streaming pretty soon! After that, our first ever recording will hit that internet…
Thanks for hanging in there with us dear friends!
