Alpine Those Myriads ~ Kaleidoscopic music for the open-minded.

Tidbit #2 - Disclosures from our 3rd album

13th of March 2013 | share on Twitter or Facebook

The song “Dingy heart” is somewhat inspired by The Smiths song “How soon is now”. Musically it´s very different, but lyrically it´s ruminating in the same neighborhood. We also, nearly, nicked the phrase “I am human and I need to be loved” - cheeky bastards!

W.G. stands for Wegener’s granulomatosis. It´s a troublesome disease that Gypus has struggled with since 2004 and our hope is that it never escalates into the severely vicious thing that it can be. With that tidbit in mind we encourage you to use your mighty imagination, because the lyric can certainly be interpreted in many ways.

What the f?%! does subessethereal mean? Well, it´s a place in Chelofan’s psyche where he reaches for new and interesting constellations that he can materialize. Make way and try it yourself, but you must be willing to kiss your body goodbye…

That´s it for now. There´ll be one more of these tidbits about our third album.

PS. If you´re in Stavanger this weekend we´re playing a concert at Café Humbug the 16th of March. Would be nice to see you!
